Each receiver set is machined from 7075 T6 billet aluminum for exceptional fit and finish, and black anodized for maximum corrosion resistance.
We offer 2 options for complete CA compliance: Fixed Magazine and Featureless. Each Fixed Mag rifle is equipped with a KingPin AR Mag Lock system. This Mag Lock system allows the shooter to retain all of the features the AR-15 was originally designed for, while maintaining complete state law compliance. One of our unique features is the patented Bolt Hold Open system. Utilizing the original bolt catch, the shooter can lock the bolt back to rear making it easier to clear any malfunctions. Our Featureless series of rifles comes prebuilt with a paddle grip, fixed carbine stocked (pinned), and our muzzle brake designed specifically for CA featureless rifles. This option gives the shooter full use of the magazine release as intended by the original rifle design.
The flat top upper receiver is machined with M4 feed ramps, while the lower receiver features an integrated enlarged trigger guard. The 16"" Barrel is machined from 4150 CMV steel with a nitride finish. The bolt carrier group is a full auto profile featuring an 8620 steel carrier, and a 9310 tool steel bolt that is magnetic particle inspected and nitride coated for maximum lubricity. Each rifle is built by hand by our master armorers, and is test fired before leaving the factory to ensure functional reliability. All Raptor Defense rifles are backed by our limited lifetime warranty, so you can depend on your RD-15 when it counts.
